Happy New Year from RiniKini

2015 was a great year. It brought many new beginnings and very BIG step toward making my RiniKini dream come true. Now it’s time to do it, do it, do it! As I’m such a busy bee and always seeking balance and perfection in my life so I tend to plan a lot. I always make a list of things that I’d like to achive in the year ahead, and here are some of my goals for 2016:

First of all, as I’m always on the go, my moments of zen are very important to me. My real challenge is to learn how to STOP… I’d like to continue my Yoga practice 3-4 times a week, this is where I find my moments of calm and recharge. I’d love to book a Yoga retreat somewhere nice and sunny. Keep your eyes peeled – I’ll be sharing my research on the best European yoga retreats soon.

The next big challenge for me is to design a beautiful collection for high summer 2016, for you lovely ladies. Whereever I go, I’m always collecting bits and bobs to inspire me in the future and I have a pretty clear idea on the direction of our next collection; my inspiration images, trims and prints are all so colourful and vivid – I can’t wait to tell you more later on in the year! For now, here’s a sneak peek of what i’m inspired by…

I want to discover at least 10 new beaches where I can relax and enjoy time off with my family and friends. Its far too easy to go back to the ones I know I love but there’s nothing quite like finding stunning new ones. I’ll share them with you in 11 months time!

A big part of my job is done at the office in front of the computer; trend forecasting, catwalk reporting, research, technical specs etc. However, another part of my job (and the best part) is being outdoors on the high street or on the beach getting an idea for what people want to wear and what looks great.

This year I’d like to spend more time outside; I love cities and find so much inspiration whilst exploring them. I love looking at people and what they’re wearing, shopping, flea markets, restaurants, cafes… you name it! But I also love the countryside, the wild and nature; biking, hiking and lazy walks, I find it all super inspiring and it clears my head, which is a good thing for anyone!

Have a healthy, happy 2016 everyone.

Rinat x
