RiniKini’s top 5 Valentines Getaway’s

As cliche as a romantic break around Valentine’s Day is, there are few people who would jump a mile at the idea of a romantic trip, be it on the 14th February or not, no?! With ‘V’ day fast approaching its time to think about where to head off too for a sunny break with your nearest and dearest. These places around the world have our vote:

1. Paris, France:
Where else to take our number one spot than the city of love? Despite recent events, we think this city deserves as much support as it can get. Our favourite part of town is Saint Germain so we’ll be staying at La Belle Juliet. Just wondering the streets of Paris is romantic enough but for a really special gesture, head to L’Auberge du 15 for second-to-none French food. Apart from the traditional Parisian sites, we’ll also be trying to squeeze a trip to theLouis Vuitton Foundation.

2. Bali, Indonesia:
If you have slightly more time to spare, Bali is an incredible place to visit with a wealth of choice for accommodation at all levels. Our personal favourite is the Amandari, and we probably won’t be straying too far away from the stunning hotel.

3. Essaouira, Morroco:
Essaouria the most most stunning little Moroccan coastal town, offering culture, beautiful views to sea, stunning local craft and lots of interesting day trips. This time, we’d like to stay at Le Jardin Des Douars. We’ll mainly be eating in modest local restaurants but for on e special Valentines meal, we’ll be heading to L’Heure Bleue Palais for a standout Morrocan/French fusion meal.

4. Barbados:
It doesn’t get much more luxurious than a trip to Barbados. We will be doing little other than being pampered, strolling along the beach, drinking rum cocktails and soaking up that can’t-find-anywhere-else atmosphere, and sun! The Little Good Harbour is our hotel of choice and with everything one could wish for on site, we’ll probably plant ourselves there for the duration of our stay.

5. Tulum, Mexico:
The hippy chic holiday hotspot has been on our list of places to visit for a long time and a romantic getaway might just be the perfect excuse. We’ll be staying in the chic Punta Piedraon the beachfront. We’ll be doing yoga daily and renting bikes to explore this beautiful part of the world; from centotes to ruins and sprawling beach front. It’s just as well we’ll be keeping active during the day because we will also be indulging in that oh-so-delicious Mexican food.
